Determining your business structure
Local investors may register a business as a single proprietorship, a domestic partnership, or a domestic corporation. Foreign investors, on the other hand, may register as one of the following: branch office, representative office, regional headquarters, or regional operating headquarters.

Domestic business
A single proprietorship business structure entails full ownership of an individual, including assets, liabilities, debts, and revenue. The FYR team will assist in the registration of the business with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). A single proprietor must be a Filipino citizen, at least 18 years of age.

A branch office is a foreign entity that has been authorized to do business in the country by its head office or parent company. This company must have the following:
- Authentication of head office and assigned resident agent in the Philippines present for legal proceedings
- Capital of USD 200,000.00, remittance of USD 200,000.00
- Minimum of 50 employees
